Export has a wonderful playground. It is well equipped and sees a high use compared to other local parks. It is situated in walking distance of hundreds of families and children. Summer programs for younger children are held there Mon-Wed-Fri 10-2. The cost is $5 registration, and $1 per day fee which includes a lunch. The summer program is sponsored by Export council and a number of local businesses including The Italian American Club, Hoy Construction, and the Moose. The park is maintained through a combination of borough and volunteer efforts. Local residents and organizations maintain the planters.
Cub Scout Pack 213 does major upkeep twice a year. Nathan Evanko made the park his Eagle scout project in 2009. It involved cleaning the creek bed, repainting the dugouts, swing sets, and basketball goals.
The “Export Growers” take care of the planters, and have made a community flower and herb garden.
The park pavilion may be reserved with a $50 deposit which will be returned if everything is in good condition.
